East Village

East Village San Diego is the largest community in downtown San Diego. It is located east of the Gaslamp Quarter. Originally the East Village was a series of warehouses and vacant lots, but now It is made up of 130 blocks that are home to a variety of different restaurants, businesses, condominiums, hotels, bars, and even art galleries. East Village became home to the San Diego Padres when PETCO Park was built in 2004. With a population of about 8,000 people, this community continues to grow.
