San Elijo Hills

San Elijo Hills was constructed to offer the best of the modern world, while preserving its ‘small town feels’.  In San Elijo people know their neighbors, gather to chat in their front yards or near the mailbox, attend community events & take great pride in the sense of community that thrives there.

While most areas throughout San Diego’s coastal communities are unaffordable, San Elijo Hills remains one of the few areas where you can find a home that fits an average American’s budget. There is currently a total of 3,400 homes in the area. There is an available type of home for everyone, from bachelor pads, apartments, small family homes, to lavish luxury homes and vacation homes. The average price of entry-level homes is $246,990. The average price of a detached house is $730,114 and the price for the town’s Luxury homes go all the way up to $2,500,000. There is also a wide array of properties for rent. San Elijo Hills is predominantly a homeowners market, as 76% of residents own homes and only 24% of residents choose to rent.

San Elijo Hills is planning to expand. The greatest part about the San Elijo Hills community is the “slowly but surely” growth of the place. The community  is now moving east where the views are some of the best in the US. Some newer developments are seen to offer a 180 degree ocean view, stretching from Mexico to Catalina Island. Only few points on the California coast offer these types of views!

It has been two decades since the development of San Elijo hills and there has been extensive improvements made. The value of the properties is evidently higher compared to the prices five years ago, and is expected to increase every quarter of the years to come. However, every penny you’ll spend in this town will surely be worth it.
